Privacy Policy
Effective date: 06 July 2026
Private Home Lab is designed as a public reading site for local-first smart home guides. You can read the site without creating an account.
Data collected by normal browsing
Like most websites, the hosting server may record basic request logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and reliability.
Cookies and accounts
Public readers should not need an account to use the site. WordPress may set strictly necessary cookies for logged-in administrators or editors. If newsletter, comment, analytics, advertising, or affiliate tooling is added later, this policy should be updated before those features are enabled.
Contact by email
If you email admin@privatehomelab.com, your email address and message contents are handled by the mail provider so the message can be read and answered.
Advertising, affiliate links, and analytics
Advertising and affiliate recommendation blocks are currently reserves only and are visually hidden until real programs are configured. No newsletter provider is currently connected through the visible site UI.
Retention
Server logs are retained only as long as needed for operations, security, and troubleshooting. Email messages may be retained for follow-up, correction history, or abuse prevention.
